KiKi Farkas
Kiko is one of Brazil’s most active graphic designers. Through a rhythmical fluidity, his work manages to capture the ethereal ideas present in the creative process without weakening or rigidly fixing their meaning. Kiko's website is successful by the way it reflects his outstanding work. Kiko's poster website is presented in a nice artistic way, where every art piece has to be clicked in order to go to the next one. The website shows a lot of balance in size images and positioning of these elements. For example, every poster that Kiko has created is shown with same size images which creates rhythm and balance all the webpage. The website is set up in a way that it seems more like a power point presentation which allows the viewer simply wait and enjoy the slide show.
The home page is set up in a way that you are able to click a small thumb nail images, which takes the viewer to that particular image, showing it in a bigger size so that details can be seen better. Something interesting about the website is that once your viewing the images, the images are chained together which you can just slide to the next one by simply clicking to the next image. The images on this particular website are used as links, and there is no text involved where you can click and start navigation. This website represents an artist graphic designer which its makes sense to conclude why clicking images were used as navigation.
I found out this website thanks to the Communication Arts magazine from march/april 2005. If you want to find out more about Kiko's creative posters look for this magazine and you will find some of his outstaning work on pg. 45.
